Interview Summary: In this portion of my interview, Tommy and I discuss an evening where he and his boyfriend were out at a park and were holding hands, and he thought about how the two of them were a sort of spectacle for passersby. This sparked dialogue regarding double consciousness, mindfulness, and struggling to overcome timidness that exists due to a dis-privilege in order to create happiness in an individual, defying what society might see as odd.
